Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) was set up on eleventh September 2003 when the late Minister, Prof. Kadar Asmal, dispatched the scene for the then Further Education and Training (FET) area at our Alexandra grounds. The name FET was subsequently changed to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by the current Minister, Dr Blade Nzimande.

The College is one of 50 public TVET universities in South Africa working under the support of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). There are eight TVET universities in Gauteng.

The College has eight grounds, for example Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street and Troyville. The eight grounds are spread inside a sweep of around 10km from the Central Office in Parktown.

The Central Office is situated in Parktown, close to the Rodean School, and offers brought together suppoort administrations like Human Resource Administration and Development, Finance, Academicc Affairs and Student Support Services, and so on

  • You were not enrolled for any course at Central Johannesburg TVET College before
  • You did not have a CJC Student number at any previous year.

Academic Application Process for New Students;

  • Ensure you have all required documents scanned separately for upload during this process.

  • A certified copy of your latest results;
